The Text-only version support for publications

How to customize the text-only version of a publication, which improves accessibility and SEO.

Written by David Aslanyan

The text-only version contains the publication's text with headings, hyperlinks, and text styles (bold, italic, etc.), without any graphics or media. It improves accessibility and helps search engines index your content.

Note: The text-only version is automatically extracted when you create a publication from a PDF or add text manually.

  1. From My Publications, open the collection and click the Text only button for your publication.

  2. Make your changes, then click Apply page changes to save. Customize each page separately.

  3. To revert a page, click Discard page changes.

  4. Click Save and close.

Important: Remember to also enable the Text-only version in the Viewer so readers can access it.
