Enable double opt-in on form submissions

How to enable double opt-in on lead generation forms so contacts must confirm their email before appearing in the CRM.

Written by David Aslanyan

Double opt-in requires form submitters to confirm their email address before being added to your CRM. This improves lead quality and reduces spam.

After submitting the form, the reader receives a confirmation email. They must click the link in that email before appearing in your CRM.

  1. Open the Form Settings.

  2. Scroll down and enable the double opt-in toggle.

  3. Select the email template to send to form submitters from the dropdown.

  4. Specify the email subject line.

  5. Click Save.

Note: Select a template that includes the confirmation placeholder link — otherwise double opt-in will not work. See "Add a placeholder to a custom form email template" for instructions on inserting the placeholder link.
