Take notes on the publication

How to add, edit, delete, and export personal notes while reading a publication in the viewer.

When reading a publication, you can create personal notes on specific pages. Notes are saved in your browser's cache — log in to your account to access them across devices.

Add notes

  1. Click the Notes button in the left sidebar.

    Note: If you don't see the Notes button, the publisher has not activated this feature.

  2. Click Add new note to start taking notes on the page.

  3. Click Save the note when done.

💡 If you've previously added a note on a page, a notification dot shows the number of notes for that page.

Edit notes

Click the pencil button next to the note to edit it.

Remove notes

Click the bin button and confirm with Delete to remove a note.

To remove multiple notes at once, use the full-screen mode (see below).

Log in / Log out

To sync notes across devices, click Log in to see all your saved notes.

To log out, click the logout icon and confirm with Log Out. After logging out, notes won't sync across devices.

Full-screen mode

Click the full-screen icon at the bottom of the Notes panel to view all notes expanded. In full-screen mode you can select multiple notes and delete them in bulk.

Export notes

In full-screen mode, click Download to export your notes as a CSV file.

💡 Click the Notes button, then Go to this page to jump directly to the page where a note was taken.
