Learn how to track readers acquired through social networks in Joomag Analytics.

Written by David Aslanyan

With Joomag's analytics you receive detailed statistics on your Audience, Content, Reader Behavior, and Acquisition. The Acquisition section contains: Overview, Sources, Social, Referrals, and Campaigns. This article covers the Social section.

1. Navigate to Analytics on the left sidebar.

2. Use the dropdown to select the Acquisition section, then click the Social subsection.

3. Apply the main filters:

  • Enter the collection name for which you want to see social acquisition data.

  • Specify the date range. The last seven days are shown by default.

Note: To check analytics for a specific reader from your CRM, enter their email address in the Reader field. You can also use filters and segmentation for in-depth analytical data.

Important: The advanced search feature is available only for brand new plans. Contact our Customer Success team for account migration assistance if your plan does not support it.

4. The chart shows readers who visited a publication from social channels, by day/week/month. Hover over dots to see daily counts. Use the Week/Month buttons for a broader view.

5. Scroll down to choose dimensions. The Primary Dimension is Social Network. Choose a Secondary Dimension if needed: Country, City, Continent, Device Category, Mobile Device Branding, Mobile Device Info, Mobile Device Marketing Name, Mobile Device Model, or Browser.

6. Review the detailed stats per social network:

  • Readers: Readers with at least one session from the specified social network.

  • New Readers: First-time readers from the specified social network.

  • Pageviews: Pages viewed by readers from the specified social network. Repeated views counted.

  • Bounce Rate: Percentage of single-page readers with less than 10 seconds of activity.

  • Pages / Reader: Average pages viewed per reader from the specified network.

  • Avg. Time Spent per Reader: Average viewing duration per reader from the specified network.

  • Subscribed: Readers from the network who subscribed via a form or plugin.

Supported social networks include: Facebook, Twitter, Reddit, Tumblr, LinkedIn, VKontakte, Instagram, and Slack.
