The Reader activity section in Analytics shows which readers are actively engaging with your publications and which are not.
Navigate to Analytics on the left sidebar.
Use the dropdown menu on the right to select Reader activity. The Overview section displays by default.
Apply the main filters:
Select the collection name.
Specify the date range (default: last 7 days).
Note: Enter a reader's email in the Reader field to filter for a specific person. You can also use filters and segmentation for in-depth data.
The chart displays active and inactive readers within the specified time range. Each dot represents a day — hover to see the count. Use Week/Month buttons for a broader view.
Active readers: Readers with at least one session in the date range.
Inactive readers: Readers who had sessions before but not within the selected date range.
Scroll down to review reader activity metrics. The Primary Dimension is Collection by default — click the dropdown to switch to Publication.
Readers: Readers with at least one session in the date range.
New Readers: Readers created during the period who viewed a publication for the first time.
Pages/Reader: Average pages viewed per reader (repeated views counted).
Avg. Time Spent per Reader: Average session duration per reader (hh:mm:ss).
Optionally add a Secondary Dimension (Country, City, Continent, Device Category, Mobile Device Branding/Info/Marketing Name/Model, or Browser).
