The Referrals section in Analytics shows readers who arrived at your publications from external referral sources.
Navigate to Analytics on the left sidebar.
Use the dropdown menu on the right to select Acquisition, then go to the Referrals subsection.
Apply the main filters:
Select the collection name.
Specify the date range (default: last 7 days).
Note: Enter a reader's email in the Reader field to filter for a specific person. You can also use filters and segmentation for in-depth data.
The chart shows active readers from referral sources by day/week/month. Hover over dots to see the count. Use Week/Month buttons for a broader view.
Scroll down to choose dimensions. The Primary Dimension is Referral Source. Optionally add a Secondary Dimension (Country, City, Continent, Device Category, Mobile Device details, or Browser).
Review reader stats by referral source:
Readers: Readers with at least one session from the referral source in the date range.
New Readers: First-time readers from the referral source.
Pageviews: Total pages viewed from the referral source (repeated views counted).
Bounce Rate: Percentage of single-page readers from the source with less than 10 seconds of activity.
Pages / Reader: Average pages viewed per reader from the referral source.
Avg. Time Spent per Reader: Average viewing duration per reader from the source.
Subscribed: Readers from the source who identified themselves via a subscribe form or plugin.
