Analytics | Reader Behavior - Engagement

Learn what the Reader Behavior Engagement section shows in Joomag Analytics.

With Joomag's analytics you receive detailed statistics on your Audience, Content, Reader Behavior, and Acquisition. The Reader Behavior section contains: Engagement, Video and Audio Performance, Link Performance, Reading Progress, and Retention. This article covers the Engagement section.

1. Navigate to Analytics on the left sidebar.

2. Use the dropdown menu on the right to select the Behavior section. Engagement is displayed by default.

3. Apply the main filters:

  • Enter the collection name for which you want to see engagement.

  • Specify the date range. The last seven days are shown by default.

Note: To check analytics for a specific reader from your CRM, enter their email address in the Reader field.

4. Review the engagement metrics: readers, pageviews, pages/reader, sessions, avg. time spent per reader, avg. sessions per reader, downloads, link clicks, social shares, video plays, total video play time, audio plays, and total audio play time.

  • Readers: Total readers with at least one session in the selected date range.

  • Pageviews: Total publication pages viewed. Repeated views of a single page are counted.

  • Pages / Reader: Average pages viewed per reader. Repeated views counted.

  • Sessions: Total sessions in the selected date range.

  • Avg. Time Spent per Reader: Average viewing duration per reader (hh:mm:ss).

  • Avg. Sessions per Reader: Average sessions per reader in the selected range.

  • Downloads: Number of publication downloads. Repeated downloads counted.

  • Links Clicks: Number of external link clicks within publications. Repeated clicks counted.

  • Social Shares: Number of social network shares. Repeated shares counted.

  • Video Plays: Number of video plays (YouTube, Vimeo, and uploaded files). Repeated plays counted.

  • Total Video Play Time: Total video play duration. Repeated view times counted.

  • Audio Plays: Number of audio plays (SoundCloud and uploaded files). Repeated plays counted.

  • Total Audio Play Time: Total audio play duration. Repeated play times counted.
