How to use the Content Overview section in Joomag Analytics to track page views and reader engagement.

Written by David Aslanyan

With Joomag's analytics, you receive detailed statistics on your Audience, Content, Reader Behavior, and Acquisition. This article covers the Content Overview section.

To view the Content Overview:

  1. Navigate to Analytics on the left sidebar.

  2. In the Content drop-down menu, select Overview.

  3. Apply the main filters: select the publication or collection and specify the date range. You'll see the last seven days by default. You can also filter by a specific reader's email in the Reader field.

  4. The chart shows the number of viewed pages over time. Each dot represents a day. Hover over the dots to see daily page views. Use Week/Month to expand the range.

  5. Change the pageview type using the dropdown:

    • Pageviews: Total pages viewed, including repeated views of the same page.

    • Unique Pageviews: Total unique page views.

    • Avg. Spent Time per Publication: Average time spent reading a publication.

  6. Review the summary metrics at the bottom:

    • Pageviews: Total pages viewed in the selected date range.

    • Unique Pageviews: Total unique page views.

    • Readers: Total readers with at least one session in the date range.

    • Avg. Time Spent per Reader per Publication: Average reading time per reader, shown as hh:mm:ss.

    • Bounce Rate: Percentage of single-page readers with no interaction. A bounced reader has under 10 seconds of total activity.
